Photographer. Designer. Entrepreneur. Story-teller.
Fueled by Passion and Driven by the endless chase to that next story and moment in time.
Glenn Yong ( SG, 1987 ) started working as a photographer in 2007. Having spent almost 10 years in a Design school in Singapore, he set out to move out of his comfort zone by exploring the underwater world. The journey began in 2009 taking up his first scuba dive, and 2010 his first underwater camera to document his adventures in the underwater world. What started out to be a casual attempt to challenge himself to a new sport that ended up enchanting him to continue exploring and eventually; falling in love with the world beneath the surface.
Soon after 2012, Glenn was commissioned to cover various stories for the local and international publications, ranging from the infamous MAYSAK Super Typhoon that almost wiped out entire communities in the Eastern Region of Philippines and to the Hong Kong Pro-Democracy movements in 2012. His articles has been featured on Singapore’s Straits Times, Newpaper and several issues in Asian Geographic, Scuba Diver, Asian Diver and ZEISS’s very own LENSPIRE publications.
And through the years after, Glenn successfully undertook several commercial assignments for many of the world’s leading camera brands. And at the same time being invited to share and inspire his stories with children, youths and the public through various channels in Singapore and Asia. Notably being one of the esteemed Photographers being featured on Asia Dive Expo and Thailand Dive Expo. His unique presentation style that is clean and direct remains to be one of the most sought after Presenters in Asia, bringing Glenn and his images to cities like Bangkok, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Beijing. And with that, Glenn is now supported by numerous publication agencies, camera and equipment manufacturers and of course by airlines and tourism agencies at home and abroad.
